Study: Terpenes Enhance Cannabinoid Activity

Published in April 2021 in the journal Scientific Reports, this study was essentially looking to determine if there is an "Entourage Effect" between cannabinoids and terpenes.

"Our results establish direct interaction between cannabinoids and terpenes by demonstrating that selected terpenes have poly-pharmacological effects at both cannabinoid and non-cannabinoid receptors".

The study specifically looked at these terpenes: α-Humulene, β-Pinene, Linalool [terpenoid], Geraniol [terpenoid], and β-Caryophyllene.
