Study: COPD Hospital Outcomes Better for Cannabis Users

This retrospective study on cannabis-using patients with COPD that were hospitalized between 2005 and 2014, was published in Cannabis and Cannabinoid Research in February 2021.

They examined over 24,000 hospitalizations of COPD patients that admitted cannabis use. Statistically significant results showed that cannabis use was associated with lower odds of in-hospital mortality and pneumonia.
