This was a placebo-controlled human clinical trial study on 150 patients that was funded by the National Institutes of Health, an arm of the US Department of Health.
The results were quite good. It found that a full spectrum hemp (CBD) oil (made by Med7 and HempCo) helped participants lose weight and lower their A1C levels (the sugar-linked hemoglobin in blood that is elevated in people with diabetes).
"Patients lost an average of 14 pounds and reduced their waistlines by four inches over the course of the six month study."
