Secondary Cannabinoids Show Neuroprotective Efficacy
This research review found that CBG, CBDV, CBC, THC-A, & THCV all showed efficacy for treating Huntington's disease, epilepsy, & Parkinson's disease.
Cannabigerol (CBG) and cannabidivarin (CBDV) displayed efficacy in models of Huntington's disease and epilepsy. Cannabichromene (CBC), Δ9‐tetrahydrocannabinolic acid (THC-A), and tetrahydrocannabivarin (THCV) showed promise in models of seizure and hypomobility, Huntington's and Parkinson's disease.
The neuroprotective properties of several cannabinoids has been demonstrated so far, and it is very exciting to see all the new research being published weekly!
