Cannabinoids Help with Anxiety Symptoms...at the RIGHT Dose

This paper published in the journal Neuropharmacology in September 2021 studied the existing evidence for cannabinoids as an anxiolytic (anti-anxiety), specifically their capability to regulate the generation and termination of anxiety states.

They found that many disruptions to the endocannabinoid system (all humans & mammals have one) reliably lead to the generation of an anxiety state. They found that using cannabinoids was helpful at lower doses, but in higher doses, they actually increased anxiety. This is more evidence that cannabinoids are BIPHASIC, and can have opposite effects at higher doses. Be careful with dosing, especially when taking cannabinoids for anxiety.

"Evidence reviewed here has outlined a convincing argument for cannabinoids being powerful regulators of both the manifestation and amelioration of anxiety symptoms, and highlights the therapeutic potential of targeting the eCB system for the development of novel classes of anxiolytics."
